TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The jewel has got an important three-dimensional development, thanks to the curvatures that exalt the great bulkiness of a Maiolica creation, without forbidding its lightness. Infact the inner part of a Maiolica jewel is empty as a consequence of the unique structure.
The upper laminae is characterized by several cracks, of different shapes, that enable the inner laminae to expose one of its two sides, creating beautiful plays of light. The reflecting effects are highlighted by the use of different treatmens for the two laminae, such as the glazing or the painting of the materials. Moreover, the inner laminae can also be pierced creating another deeper level with the addition of a third laminae.
In the last case the bracelets would be even more rigid and able to avoid warpages.
